Info

In Śrī Krishna Nauka Vihār, the divine journey becomes a moment of quiet joy. Krishna guides the boat across moonlit waters, surrounded by companions in gentle celebration. Beneath flowering trees and a night sky scattered with stars, movement slows into rhythm—part procession, part meditation. The scene captures leisure not as excess, but as grace in motion.
Materials

Painted on handmade patta—a traditional cloth prepared through layered treatment for strength and longevity. Natural and mineral pigments are hand-mixed and applied in careful layers, producing deep blacks and luminous jewel tones. The surface preserves exceptional clarity, allowing fine details to remain visible even at close view.
Details

Executed in the classical Pattachitra tradition, the work is defined by disciplined line work and narrative balance. Figures are rendered with fine, deliberate strokes, their garments and ornaments filled with intricate patterns that echo the flow of water and song. The elongated horizontal format enhances the sense of travel, while the ornamental border anchors the composition with visual symmetry.
Finishing Touch

Every masterpiece is unique. Before your artwork is secured in its climate-safe tube, the original artist performs a final inspection. They hand-fill and refresh the intricate borders using traditional mineral pigments, ensuring the piece arrives in pristine, gallery-ready condition.
Care & Framing Guide

The 'Patti' Advantage: • Naturally Insect Resistant: The canvas is traditionally treated with a blend of tamarind seeds and chalk, making the artwork naturally repellent to insects and highly durable. Handling & Placement: • Clean Hands Only: Natural stone colors absorb oils. Handle by the edges with clean, dry hands. • Avoid Direct Sun: Prolonged exposure to harsh sunlight may fade the mineral pigments. • Never Fold: Always roll the artwork to protect the treated canvas from cracking. Framing Recommendations • Frame behind glass or acrylic to protect against dust and humidity. • Ask your framer for "spacers" to create a tiny gap between the glass and the painting, allowing the natural canvas to breathe • Images show the full artwork including an extended outer border- intended for framing and will not be visible once framed
